Lynette Clemetson is the Director of Wallace House, Knight-Wallace Fellowships and the Livingston Awards at the University of Michigan. A longtime journalist, she worked as a correspondent for Newsweek magazine in the U.S. and Asia, a national correspondent for The New York Times, and senior director of strategy and new initiatives at NPR.

For the past several years she has focused on journalism innovation, supporting the development of new ventures and projects, and working toward greater diversity within the journalism industry and the audiences journalists prioritize and reach. As director of Wallace House she works to sustain and elevate the careers of journalists, foster civic engagement, and uphold the role of a free press.

In addition to her role as an advisor to Forbidden Stories, she also serves on the Board of Directors of the Student Press Law Center.
