Event: Step behind the scenes of these forbidden stories
On February 13, in a Theater near the Champs-Elysées, we’ll unveil the behind-the-scenes of the incredible human adventure that is Forbidden Stories. In a unique production, blending actors and journalists from our network, we’ll bring to life the stories for which journalists lost theirs. The event is now fully booked.
Organized by Forbidden Stories and directed by Mélody Mourey (12 nominations for the Molière Award), the evening will feature moving testimonies from the relatives of murdered journalists, stunning artistic performances and stories from our network members and talented actors.
An immersive experience to shed light on the challenges, hopes, and resilience of those who refuse to let silence prevail.
As the disinformation industry poses a serious threat to the foundations of our democracies and the last safeguards against fake news on social media crumble, this event serves as yet another reminder of the importance of the right to information. It reflects our commitment in ensuring that killing the journalist won’t kill the story. We’ll keep publishing their work. Just as we did for Daphne Caruana Galizia, Rafael Moreno, and Basel Khair Al-Din, whose stories we will share on February 13th.
This event will also provide an opportunity to show that there is a response to crimes committed against journalists—an organized, collective, and hopeful one.
